Goal Setting for 2022

Grab a paper and pen and let’s get started!

1.

The first thing I want you to do is think back on all the things you have accomplished this year. Write them down. Acknowledgment is a great way to start when goal setting, look how far you have come rather than what you didn’t accomplish. Start with a positive mindset.

2.

Think back to the things you wanted to do this year but didn’t accomplish, write them down and then write down why you think it didn’t work? Why didn’t they happen?

Now I’m just been super obvious here but sometimes we don’t stop to think about these things and writing them down can really help.

A great thing to do here, is to keep asking why, if it was because of no money, why was that? Maybe because you didn’t have enough work, why was that? Maybe a lack of motivation? Keep asking why, until you get to the root cause of the reason.

3.

Now write down the things you want to accomplish this year, maybe it’s get a new car, have more days out, do more yoga, earn more money. Write them all done.

4.

What do you think or who do you think you need to be to accomplish these things? Get that pen and paper, jot it down!

Probably the opposite of the words you wrote down before right? If you don’t change, things don’t change.

5.

Get a new bit of paper ready.

Close your eyes and imagine you have achieved all your goals, what does that feel like? What are you wearing, where are you, what’s around you?

Write it down. I want you to look at this every morning. This will motivate you to be your best self and to remember how you feel when you go after your goals. It will motivate you to keep going when you don’t feel like you can.

6.

I like to work with 90 day goals. So once you have your main goals. Start with breaking them down even more.

Look at what you need to do, to get to your goal. How can you break down them even more? See example below!

It seems like a lot of work to start with but breaking it into 90 day goals makes it so much more manageable. Because most people overestimate what they can do in a day, and underestimate what they can do in a month.

We overestimate what we can do in a year, and underestimate what we can accomplish in a decade.

So do this for your main goals. And at the end of the 90 days. Look back. Why didn’t you achieve it. What can you do differently are you still looking at your note every morning and remembering the feeling of achieving it or have you lost it. Or did you underestimate and next time you can dream bigger.

I’ve given you the tools, now it’s up to you to apply it and make your dreams come true.

Go plan and dream big!

Leah
