What is the yogi squat?
The yogi squat is where you are squatting low to the ground, your feet are flat on the floor and your bum is a couple of inches from touching the ground, as seen below.
This pose can be very demanding on the body and can take a lot of practice and patience to get there. I have created this video to help you gain more flexibility and to help you get into your squat easier.
There are certain poses and exercises that will help and I have included them in this video. I hope this helps and don’t forget you can always roll up a towel to put your heels on or stay up higher. Over time you will find it gets easier and easier.
